Matisyahu @ The Main Street Armory with Dub Trio and Kosha Dillz

Since the release of his 2004 debut, Shake Off the Dust...Arise, and the phenomenal success of 2005’s Live At Stubb’s, Matisyahu has continued to bring his uncanny, electrifying fusion of orthodox Judaism and classic reggae music to audiences with a non-stop touring schedule and unbelievable energy. The impressive work continued with the #4 charting, Youth, and No Place To Be. The Grammy-nominated artist now tours in support of Light. Matisyahu was named Top Reggae Artist by Billboard in 2006.

The Dub Trio is Joe Tomino on drums, Stru Brooks on bass/keyboards and DP Holmes on guitar/keys. The group pays homage to King Tubby’s original dub style, recreating studio tricks live on stage with the use of samplers and delay pedals. CD releases include Exploring the Dangers of, New Heavy, Cool Out And Coexist and Another Sound Is Dying. Since joining Matisyahu in performance, members of the Dub Trio have become an integral part of the show, much to the delight of fans. Kosha Dillz tour in support of Beverly Dillz. The group also recently teamed with C-Ray Walz on the indie hip hop album, Freestyle vs. Written. They describe their sound as Religious/Emo/Swing.
