Holt Studio is a recording studio in Mount Morris, NY. in the lovely Genesee Valley. I record many types of music for many reasons, demos, audition CDs, interviews, bands, churches, Christian and voice-over CDs. The facility was built about 1982, it is very comfortable with a low key atmosphere. I have several rooms separated by windows so that it is possible to record with reasonable sound isolation for live recording, making it easy to make simple repairs to the tracks. I use a hard drive recorder to record the basic tracks then transfer the tracks to computer and use Logic software to edit and mix. The editing capabilities are astounding. The studio also has the ability to do remote recordings. I have recorded many church choirs and musical groups over the years and brought the recordings back to the studio for mixing. I really try to emphasize the quality of the performance and keep a relaxed vibe for the musicians. I myself am a musician and usually understand what people are looking for and how to get there. As of now I charge $30.00 per hour with great results.

Here are just a few of the many Rochester and Southern tier bands I have recorded, some of which you may know: Grand Canyon Rescue Episode, Frank Hill, SLT, Table Top Three, Watkins and the Rapiers, Flint Creek, Kellys Old Timers, Eric Kelly, Ernie and Andy Lawrence, Java, Ellen Oaks Kerr, Tommy T and the Gliders, Pan Loco, Polly Panic, Johnny Bauer. A few of my favorite projects from the past include Colorblind James, Lala Land, John Bartels and Woody Dodge.
