Guitarist/composer Colin Cannon draws from many musical genres to create his unique style of contemporary jazz – laced with subtle Eastern influences and contemporary rhythms of funk, hip-hop, and drum ‘n bass. His music is enjoyed by jazz fans as well as by those who love jam bands, fusion, blues, even bluegrass. A native of Rochester, Colin attended the Eastman School of Music as a teenager; and is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music where he was named a World Tour Scholar.

Now based in Boston MA, he is a much sought-after teacher and solo artist. His current group, the Colin Cannon Quartet, has become an important part of Boston’s thriving music scene and enjoys a loyal following in the New York City area as well. He has also earned significant recognition from on line listeners in Europe and Asia and across the U. S. Cannon has just completed recording sessions at Mix One Studios in Boston for his first full-length CD, tentatively titled In Summary, scheduled for release this summer.
