Family FUNKtion & The Sitar Jams is comprised of a group of brothers who have created a new psychedelic sound by combining their love of rock and funk with Indian, classical and folk. They list as their influences such varied artist as Ravi Shankar, Miles Davis, The Police, John Scofield, and Phish. Band members include Aneal Padmanabha on bass and guitar; Naryan Padmanabha on sitar and synthesizer; and Ravi Padmanabha on drums. Their 2010 release is Karma Print.
