•Victor Municipal Park, at 6680 Paperone Drive, will host an outdoor movie screening of THE SMURFS on July 26.  Food and refreshments will be available for purchase – just grab a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy.  Call (585) 742-0140.

•The Seneca Park Zoo, at 2222 St. Paul Street, hosts a series of NIGHT AT THE ZOO events this summer, complete with family-friendly entertainment, animal encounters, animal-related games and more.  The evenings are scheduled for July 26 and August 16.  Call (585) 336-7213.

•The FREE MOVIES IN THE PARKS series, sponsored by the Monroe County Dept. of Parks, offers screenings of Puss In Boots (PG) on July 26; Smokey & the Bandit (PG) on August 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 (PG) on August 9 – all in Highland ark Bowl; and Captain America:  The First Avenger (PG-13) on July 31 and Sherlock Holes:  Games of Shadows (PG-13) on August 7 – both at Ontario Beach Park.  The free events start at dusk.  Call (585) 753-PARK.

•The students who participated in this summer’s Broadway boot-camp, Summer Stars, will perform in a GALA SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE on July 27 at the Rochester Auditorium Theatre, 885 East Main Street.  The program, run by the Rochester Broadway Theatre League, has over 100 Rochester area students in grades 3 thru 12 participating.  Visit www.rbtl.org.

•The LITERATURE LIVE series, which finds characters jumping off the pages of children’s books to meet, greet and pose with youngsters, continues on July 27, 28 & 29 at the Strong National Museum of Play, One Manhattan Square as Mama Bear, from the Berenstain Bears, appears. •Bristol Valley Theatre presents its annul “BVT For Kids” performance of OZMA OF OZ on July 31 thru August 3 and August 14 thru 17 at 151 S. Main Street in Naples NY.  Join Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow and some fantastical new friends (including a talking chicken and Tik-Tok, the mechanical man) as they journey back to Oz to battle the devious Gnome King and return Queen Ozma to her rightful throne.  Call (585) 374-9032.

•Geva Theatre Center at 75 Woodbury Blvd. will host b on August 3 thru 5.  The show is an annual musical revue to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS; and features young regional performers who have been participating in Geva’s Summer Program.  The show is entirely student organized.  Call (585) 232-GEVA.
