
“Dora & Diego – Let’s Explore!” @ National Museum of Play – Opening Weekend Fiesta September 22 & 23

•As part of the Rochester Fringe Festival, the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium at 657 East Avenue is offering LOST IN THE FUNHOUSE – REVOLUTION on September 20, 22 & 23, open to anyone age 5 and over. The one-hour presentation recreating one revolution of the earth around the sun uses live computer music, field recordings, spoken text as well as projected planetarium maps and videos. •Opening Weekend of the new exhibit, DORA AND DIEGO: LET’S EXPLORE! is slated for September 22 & 23 at the Strong National Museum of Play, One Manhattan Square. Kids can join Dora and Diego, the beloved characters from Nickelodeon’s hit preschool series, along with their friends Boots, Map, Backpack, Isa, Tico and Swiper. Call (585) 263-2700.
•At the Strong National Museum of Play, One Manhattan Square, a TODDLER BOOK CLUB session is scheduled on September 24 with the theme of “All Aboard!;” and on October 1, when the subject is “Around the World with Dora!” Call (585) 263-2700.
•The LITERATURE LIVE series, which finds characters jumping off the pages of children’s books to meet, greet and pose with youngsters continues on September 29 & 30 at the Strong National Museum of Play, One Manhattan Square as Lilly with the Purple Purse appear. Call (585) 263-2700.
