Johnny Rawls, born and raised in Mississippi, spent over two decades apprenticing as a sideman to many top masters, and driving millions of miles with his own band – backing up legends such as Lynn White, Little Johnnie Taylor, Z.Z. Hill and O.V. Wright. Rawls has always stayed in demand because of his talent and musical versatility (he’s proficient on guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals). Releases include Can’t Sleep at Night, Here We Go, My Turn to Win, Put Your Trust in Me, Louisiana Woman, Lucky Man, Heart & Soul, Red Cadillac, Ace of Spades and his latest, Memphis Still Got Soul.
