•EASTMAN SCHOOL NOTES – Eastman Community School and Brighton Symphony Orchestra will present an evening of 18th Century harp music on May 22 in the Hatch Recital Hall at the Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs Street. The recital will feature the School’s Advanced Harp Choir under the direction of Nan Gullo Richmond, and Paul Knoke who will perform on his 18th Century single-action harp…Several hundred acclaimed violists from around the world will descend on the Eastman School from May 30 thru June 3 to attend the 40th International Viola Congress. •SOTA & ROCHESTER ORATORIO SOCIETY – In a first for such a collaboration, the Rochester Oratorio Society and the School of the Arts will present a concert of choral classics on May 20 at SOTA, 45 Prince Street. “Better Together” will feature the SOTA Concert Choir and benefits Friends of the School of the Arts and the ROS Endowment Fund. •JAMIE ANDERSON – A May 18 House Concert in the home of Ralph Hunt and Judy Gradford at 20 Winbourne Road will feature Jamie Anderson. Jamie calls herself a “confused folk singer who dabbles in several genres.” Touring since the eighties, the singer/songwriter has player her songs in hundreds of coffeehouses, concert halls and festivals in four countries and forty-seven states.
