In celebration of their twentieth season, the Bristol Valley Theatre, at 151 S. •THE LIVING CANVAS:  EUREKA! – Downstairs Cabaret at 3450 Winton Place in Brighton will present Chicago’s acclaimed show, The Living Canvas:  Eureka! on August 24 & 25.  The show celebrates the beauty and expressive power of the human form through performance art and photography using creative lighting, sound and multi-media energy that interacts with the human canvas.  Call (585) 325-4370 for tickets.

•METHOD MACHINE – Geva Theatre Center’s Ron & Donna Fielding Nextstage will host the Method Machine’s production of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, Part II: Perestroika from August 30 thru September 9 at 75 Woodbury Blvd.  The play is set in late 1985 and early 1986 as the first wave of the AIDS epidemic hits America.  It is an epic exploration of love, justice, identity and theology – of the difficulty, terror and necessity of change.  Call (585) 232-GEVA.

•MuCCC. – At the Multi-use Community Cultural Center (MuCCC), located at 142 Atlantic Avenue, upcoming shows include the Sankofa Evening of Theatre & Jazz, scheduled for August 23 thru 25, featuring Rochester playwrights, directors, actors and jazz performers…The ShakeCo Radio Theater production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be presented there on August 31.  Lewis Caroll’s work as presented here is a shortened version of his Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland which was published a year later…And, on September 1, Polite Company – Manners Manor will be performed by Karen Craft, Abby DeVuyst, Dan Hart, Scott Hildreth, Greg Owens and Spencer Christiano.  Visit www.muccc.org.
