Indie rockers Young the Giant are the reincarnation of the band, The Jakes, who enjoyed several years of popularity from 2004 thru 2009, performing with Kings of Leon and receiving a great deal of airplay. As Young the Giant, the group has released a self-titled album on Roundrunner Records which features the songs “My Body,” “Cough Syrup,” and “Apartment.” Their melodic rock ‘n’ roll sound features vocalist Sameer Gadhia; Jacob Tiley on lead guitar; Eric Cannata (guitar/vocals); Payam Doostzadeh (bass); and Francois Comtois (drums/vocals)…Nashville’s Apache Relay joins the bill in support of their new one, American Nomad. The indie roots band has been touring constantly of late, performing at SXSW, the Canadian Music Fest and Newport Folk Festival. Band members include Michael Ford, Jr., Mike Harris, Ben Ford, Brett Moore, Kellen Wenrich, and Aaron Early.
